Nix Financial is excited to announce a new partnership with Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers to facilitate anonymous reward payments for anonymous tips leading to an arrest. Through the program, tipsters selected to receive rewards will be directed to one of 12 Nix Financial branches outlets throughout Los Angeles County, where a secure system has been set up for them to receive their payout.
Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization working with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department and 38 other law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles County as well as the community and new media to help solve crimes. Through the program, anyone with knowledge about crimes that have occurred can anonymously call a hotline at 800.222.TIPS (8477), text or log into the Crime Stoppers website at www.lacrimestoppers.org and provide crime tip information. The tipster’s identity is always encrypted, and a private code is assigned to the tipster. If the information leads to an arrest, the tipster is eligible to receive a reward up to $1,000.
Crime Stoppers receives 500-600 anonymous tips monthly. Through September 2011, Crime Stoppers received nearly 5,700 tips, which resulted in 258 arrests and the seizure of over $1.7 million in narcotics.
